What President William Ruto Noticed After Official Opening of The Iconic Bunge Tower

President William Ruto expressed his worries about the size of the rooms in the Ksh9.6 billion Bunge Towers on Thursday.

While inaugurating the tower, he questioned if the rooms designated for committee meetings could accommodate many members.

During his visit to one of the rooms, Ruto raised concerns about whether all committee members would fit and if some might have to stand due to the small size of the rooms. He wondered how transactions would be conducted if the rooms were full.

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, present at the launch, responded, saying the rooms were large enough for committee meetings. However, committees with many members would use a special chamber inside the tower.

Originally, the tower was scheduled to open on April 19, but it was postponed due to the mourning period for Chief of Defence Forces, General Francis Ogolla.

The 28-story building boasts luxurious amenities like a modern gym, restaurant, and beauty parlor. It includes an underground tunnel connecting it to the Parliament Buildings.

MPs will move into the tower in two phases, first from the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC) and then from the continental house.
