Veteran journalist Rita Tinina was discovered deceased in her home by her housekeeper. Police reported that Tinina, aged 46, was found dead in her residence on Laikipia Road in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, on Sunday, March 17th, in the morning.
She was expected to be at work at NTV, where she worked as an Output Producer, but she didn't show up. Her colleagues became concerned and sent someone to check on her at her house, where her body was found.
According to a police report from Kilimani Sub-County and Kileleshwa Police Station, authorities were informed about the sudden death incident.
Around 2:30 PM, Helen Silau Njaga, aged 58 and the deceased's eldest sister, reported to the authorities about the tragic discovery of her sister, Ntanina Yiapan.
Earlier that day at approximately 10:45 AM, Robert Nagila, a colleague of the deceased, called Helen Silau Njaga and informed her that Ntanina Yiapan, a 46-year-old Maasai female and esteemed journalist at Nation Media Group, was found unconscious in her bedroom at Brooklyne Apartments, House No. B6, located along Laikipia Road in Kileleshwa.
