Nairobi residents trooped to Umoja estate's Tena Grounds to view the body of the late Sheila Wegesha, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband.
A video shared by Jano the Governor, showed people who had gathered at the venue went to view the body one by one, and many of them still had looks of disbelief and sorrow on their faces.
A night vigil with music was also held for the late businesswoman, where people sang and danced.
In a different post, Jano intimated that Wegesha's loved ones had collected KSh 429,620 from the the candle lighting and harambee held at Egesa. "May I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your participation in making the day a success. Our total collection will go to the burial expenses for the late Wegesha," read a post by Jano on Facebook. "Our journey to Kanyada Homabay county will be on May 28th, and burial on May 29th. Go well Sheila Wegesha," read another part.
