Mombasa Man Flies Home from Europe, Discovers Girlfriend He Sent KSh 2.7m for New House Is Married

 A man named Rukia Suleiman has taken legal action against a woman from Mombasa for tricking him and taking KSh 2.7 million from him by pretending to love him and promising to marry him.

In court on Friday, March 15, Rukia pleaded not guilty to charges of cheating and false pretenses. According to reports, Rukia convinced Zulla Abdalla Juma to give her money to buy land and build a house in Kiembeni, but she never did.

The two were supposed to get married in February 2022, but when Zulla went to Holland, Rukia avoided meeting him. Sometimes she even scheduled meetings in different places like Kwale and Kilifi.

Further investigations found out that the woman was already married and living with her husband in the house that Zulla built using his money.

Zulla had an accident in Majengo, which injured his spine, and he has been using a wheelchair since then. He started dating Rukia in 2019.Rukia was released on a KSh 1.5 million bond.
