 Burundian singer Champagne expressed his disappointment after his arrival in Kenya did not go as planned. Champagne had come to meet his Kenyan partner for the first time, but upon arrival, she turned off her phone and became unreachable.

In an interview at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Champagne shared details of their long-distance relationship. He claimed to have invested about KSh 2 million in the relationship.

Champagne was confused by her sudden disappearance. His visit to Kenya had two purposes: a media tour and meeting his partner. Despite their regular communication, she was not at the airport to meet him, and he could not contact her.

"I came to Kenya for a media tour and to meet a woman I love very much. We've been talking on the phone, but I haven't seen her at the airport, and I can't reach her. I have spent a lot of money on her—so far, KSh 2 million. I need to find her because if she has scammed me, there will be consequences," he said.
