Russian group that makes new things has started taxis without drivers. These taxis will work in Kenya. The Russian Embassy in Kenya said this on Monday, April 1. They said the group from Russia will work with Kenyan friends.
The Russian Embassy told us that the testing for the flying taxis will start soon in some places before everyone can use them.“The first trips will be from Nairobi (Wilson) to Diani (Ukunda). Don't miss this chance,” the Embassy said.
They didn't say how much it will cost to ride these taxis. The route from Wilson to Diani in Kwale County is important because Diani is a place many tourists visit in Kenya.
The group from Russia talked about this new way of moving with small planes in 2022.When the flying taxis start in Kenya, it will join a few other countries that already have taxis without drivers.
In 2023, Israel also started testing flying taxis that could take people and their bags.Big countries like the United States and China want to do this too by 2025. Kenya also planned to start in 2025.
