Man Seeks Justice, Claims Ex-Girlfriend Sent Cops to Arrest Him After Rejecting Her Proposal

Peterson Githinji found himself in an unexpected situation when his former lover became the reason for his downfall, leading to a life sentence at GK Prison in Nyeri.

In an interview with Inooro TV, Githinji, who chairs the Boda Boda association in Nyeri, shared his story. He grew up in Karatina and worked as a tout in Nairobi at times, aiming to provide for his wife and children.

However, a chance encounter with his ex-girlfriend changed everything. They had dated in high school but broke up in 2009.

In 2020, Githinji met his ex while working in Karatina. They reconnected, and she revealed that she had been married and had three kids but was now single. She invited him to her house, and they spent time with her children.

Later, she expressed a desire to get back together and form a family. Githinji declined, as he already had a family of his own.

This rejection didn't sit well with his ex. She made false accusations against him, claiming he had harmed her children. Githinji was shocked when the police arrived at his door, accusing him of serious crimes.

Despite his innocence, Githinji was arrested and charged. He believes his ex-girlfriend's connections led to his unfair trial and life sentence.

Now, Githinji hopes for justice and asks for public support in his appeal.
