NEWS JUST IN: Goons Attack Senator Omtatah After Leaving Court

Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah on Friday, March 22, survived another attack on his life after armed goons trailed him shortly after leaving Busia Law Courts.

Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah narrowly escaped harm on Friday, March 22, when a group of armed individuals targeted him shortly after he left Busia Law Courts.

Omtatah recounted the incident to Kenyans.co.ke, stating that he noticed a car following him as he headed home. The car eventually overtook him, and a group of young individuals emerged from it. They began throwing stones at his vehicle, prompting Omtatah to instruct his driver to drive away quickly.

Fortunately, Omtatah found safety at Busia Agricultural Training College (ATC), which is protected by Administration Police officers. He reported that his vehicle, a Probox, sustained minor damage from the stones but was not extensively harmed.

Despite the attack, Omtatah emphasized that he was unharmed and continued to pursue legal action against the county government. He explained that he had filed a case against the governor, demanding information about county operations and expenditures to fulfill his oversight duties.

Despite sending multiple letters requesting the information, the governor did not respond, leading Omtatah to seek legal intervention to compel the release of the necessary documents.
