UDA War of Words Escalates;Oscar Sudi Didn't Write That, I Know His Handwriting - Cleophas Malala

The verbal battle within the united democratic alliance (UDA) continued on thursday, May 30, as the party's secretary general Cleophas Malala responded to kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.

On wednesday sudi posted on X criticizing Malala’s recent warning about Sudi’s political behavior. Oscar Sudi dismissed Malala as an overconfident former local official comparing him unfavorably to former jubilee secretary general raphael Tuju. "Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju's caliber," Sudi stated.

In response on thursday Malala, a former Kakamega senator, defended his past as a member of county assembly and suggested that Sudi didn’t write the post himself.

"I used to be an MCA and I'm proud of that. I saw a tweet from an MP trying to diminish the role of MCAs. It was not Oscar Sudi who tweeted that yesterday, I know his handwriting. The MP should speak to his social media handlers," Malala told Citizen TV.

Malala also announced that the UDA will soon launch a leadership school to educate its leaders on the party’s principles and mentor young politicians.

"We want to start a UDA leadership school. We will be the first party in history to have a school that teaches leaders the party's manifesto and customs. We will also use the school to mentor young leaders," Malala said.

On wednesday Malala had urged UDA leaders, including transport cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and public service cabinet secretary Moses Kuria, to stop politicking and focus on their duties.
